The deal used a supposed escrow setup, but Meteora says scammers deceived both legitimate parties in parallel, with Meteora sending funds to a fake escrow wallet. No tokens were delivered, and recovery is considered unlikely after the $USDC was routed through KuCoin as part of a mixing flow.”
